DYI Designing your system.

To properly design a system it takes knowledge and the ability to ask the right questions. Failing to ask the right questions can result in a system that produces false alarms or leaves you vulnerable to break ins. Below are some basic guidelines.

FSCI offers free design of your system if you purchase your system from us. Sorry, but too many times we have been used to design a system for other companies, so we do require our designs be used to purchase our products.

Some Basic Guidelines:

1. Hand sketch or provide cad drawings of your building. Whether it be a home or a business.
    A. Include heating and cooling vents
    B. Include all doors and the direction they swing. Indicate type and size of molding/ door trim around each door.
    C. Include window locations
    D. Include room sizes and what each room is used for.
    E. Note whether pets are present. If they are include size and weight of pet.
    F. Include stairway locations.
    G. Include complete address information
    H. Show location you would like to place the panel headend. Show the nearest outlet to this panel location. Indicate number of feet from panel.
    I. Show which doors you will use to enter through
    J. Indicate where the phone box and connections are for your home.
    K. Indicate which direction your building faces
    L. Digital pictures would also help if available
    M. Indicate any streets passing by your building
